Is it normal for your radio's to making a electronic ticking noise? (400mw on 112 boards?)

That's probably the countdown-timer for your warranty time:D...

Just kidding, but I haven't ever heard a radio card make any kind of noise (although I haven't put my ear near a 400 mW card...). Are you sure it's from the card itself? Does it do this only when there's traffic, or also when it's idle?

Strange...

Best regards,

That was my feeling too. I have several radio cards the sr5, sr2, and some generic 400mw cards. I can place any of them into the rb112 and you here a high electronic ticking.

You can turn the radio off via software and it goes away, you can lower the tx power and it lowers as well. at 27db it's fairly loud at 17db it is just barly there. Turn the card off and it stops.

This is with or without antani's connected, but I don't like running them with out a load.. don't know if it hurts this type of radio equipment or not.

Is it the piezo speaker thats getting the interferance from the radio cards? Its probably just like when you have a cell phone (typically nextel ones) close to a clock radio or other device and you can hear the digital garbage.
