It means you are pinging with 5000 bytes of just ICMP payload. Add 8 bytes for the ICMP header, and 20 bytes for the IP header and that'll put you at 5028 bytes. This value of 5028 should not exceed the MTU value set on the router otherwise the packet will not pass.if i issue the following command...Yes..
