block downloading some files

i want to block the download of for example EXE files

i use layer7protocol and mangle rule to mark the EXE packet but i cant stop the download

Did you add filter rule in firewall?

i don't try this link

i used regxbuddy to obtain the regular expression and used it in layer7
then i add this rule

add action=drop chain=forward comment="" disabled=no layer7-protocol="Extension.exe"" src-address-list=noexe

but it did not work i don't understand why
