EDIT TO ADD: well as soon as I posted this and started to try out @sadeghrafie's suggestion, everything is working as expected. Grrr.... (actually I am happy with this, though embarrassed).

SO.... nevermind; with OmniTik set with mode="ap-bridge" and WDS-MODE=dynamic, my SXT is associating both as "station" and also as "station-wds".

I have a couple of SXTs which I want to connect to an OmniTik.

Setting the SXTs to "station-wds" and the OmniTik to "ap bridge"+WDS-Mode="dynamic" works.

But if I set one of the SXTs to "station" mode, it will no longer associate, which I found somewhat surprising.

Is this expected behaviour, and if not are there any suggestions where I should start digging?

I think enabling wds on OmniTik is the reason.
