Slower on Nstreme

Wed Oct 26, 2005 8:58 pm

I just tried nstreme and my through put (using the bandwidth tester) gives me a slower through put then when it is turned off.
What's up? It should be faster.

If you are CPU-limited, Nstreme slows things down.

Otherwise, it is really excellent ...

I had some students do a lot of testing for me, they found that due to the load on the CPU, n-stream will not work as good which everyone will confirm, but if you are just using Turbo mode only, this gives the fastest thruput.

We where looking at backbone links.

PS: Did a test over a 60km link with a couple of WAP boards with 26dB Diapoles and SR5 radios. Tested 8M one way thruput.

Considering there are bigger and better antenna out there, I was most impressed.
