2 PPPOE client on One Ehternet or Bridge

Sun Jan 16, 2011 5:20 pm

I have problem toset up 2 PPPoE Client connection on the same ether port or bridge. When I set only the first one connects and the others not working. When I disable the first one the secon on gets connected. I find the AC-Name of the 2 PPPoE servers and set it but still the second one doesn't connect. Also searched for Service name but none of them has it. Is there any way to do it? I mean to connect to 2 PPPoE server on the same ehternet or bridge?

I think it should be possible, when there are _2_ PPPoE server in the network.
- different service-name should be used on both PPPoE servers;
- create user1 with necessary credentials and specify service-name of router1;
- create user2 with necessary credentials and specify service-name of router2.

Thanks for your reply.
But I created2 PPPoE-Client to connect to 2 different ISPs. Unfortunately both of them didn't set the Service name. The only differences which I found in status when they connect solely in them are AC-Name and Mac Address.
我不能设置目的地Mac,就进入了the AC-Name, but it didn't help.
Only one of them get connected and the other one doesn't connect.

Perhaps routerOS is not taking the source mac address into account and directing received PPPoE packets to the wrong client; the PPPoE client software may not be prepared to deal with more than one client connection on the same interface.
