40 Mhz while using 802.11n

Fri Oct 08, 2010 12:08 pm

Hello,

how do I force MT to use 40 Mhz channelwidht in 802.11n only ? I have the strange behavoir, that MSC4 brings 81 Mps. If I activte MCS-5, it stays at 26/39 Mps. I use "channel above control". Version is 4.11, both side RB411AH and Mars 25 dbi dual polarity and chain 0/chain 1. Nstreme dynamic size, range 45 km, free line of side (850 meter hill with Tower 40 m on one side) WDS in bridge mode, CCQ with 81 MPS 94/90 % with MSC-5 CCQ 50/80 %. RH5n Signal -65 dbm free channel no noise.

If I understand what you're asking, open wireless settings, click on advanced mode, go to wireless, set band to one of the Only-N modes, go to data rates, change to configured, turn off everything, go to HT tab, make sure extension channel is enabled, go to HT MCS tab, make sure the ones you want are checked.

Now it should stick to N mode, at only the enabled rates.
