Draytek Vigor 120 PPoA>PPPoE bridge

Fri May 21, 2010 4:01 pm

I've seen a few posts recommending these on the forum so I purchased one myself. No joy getting it to work with Mikrotik router though.

It works fine with Windows PPPoE client, cheap routers - Netgear etc but although Mikrotik establishes a PPPoE session it will not pass any traffic.

Can anybody help?

Hi Trisc,

我使用了DV120路由器等cessfully with Mikrotik, please post screenshot of the WAN configuration screen on the Draytek, and your /ip firewall entries, as well as your PPPoE setup. I should be able to figure it out for you.

Also, what firmware version is on the Draytek ?

I did not realise PPPoA was used in the UK, I thought it was all RFC1483 bridging(aka MPoA)...

Regards,

Andrew

Thanks - it was just a simple masquerade error after all - on the wrong interface. I am impressed with the Draytek though - like having a built in modem in routerOS.

Yes PPPoA is standard in UK.
