I have been using some RB433AH w/ a single wireless card in them for some time now. A few of them have been configured like so:
ether1 -> Internet
ether2-\
ether3 Bridge (Lan IP address)
wifi1---/
I just spent 2 hours trying to figure out why I couldnt get one working right. It was using the same configuration as another one that worked, just on 4.3 versus 4.1. The wireless bridge port works fine, but ether2/ether3 dont. I cant even winbox into them.
I ended up having to take ether3 out of the bridge, slave it to ether2, mirror from ether2 to cpu and leave ether2 in the bridge group.
Then it works fine.
Before doing this, no ports were slaved, no switching was enabled. just ether2, ether3, and wifi in a bridge. I dont need high speed switching on these ports. Just has to give a couple devices low speed net access.
Is this a bug? If so, im really glad I didnt upgrade some of the 4.1 routers out there I have setup the same way!
