login.html编辑阻止用户登录

Tue Jul 12, 2005 4:30 pm

Hi !

Does any one know why my login page (login.html) denies user access after edit the page. even a background color change deactivates login process. I have tryed to accept unencrypted password but still the same. I was able to change the login images residing on the /img directory, but cannot change anything else on the main page. I have spent a good 2 weeks trying to figure this out.

I would appreciate it very much if someone can let me copy their working secure login html source.

Thanks in advance!

Is it possible that you are downloading the pages using HTTP from the router? I have seen similar problems when people hope they can save login.html as it is shown in their broser, then modify it and upload back. You should use FTP to downloadoriginalpages.

awacenter, Im sure of that. i am able to change the login.gif in the /img directory to my own image file. the login page works as long as i dont change anything on the login.html code.

Im using netscape composer program which has an ftp down/upload publishing capability. I was successful with all other web pages except the login page. I was hoping not to re-write or write a new code for the login page if possible. Im probablly missing something out, but I have read the manual/docs/forum and still nothing.

thank you guys....will still keep trying.....

I have no idea what that netscape tool does. could you compare the document you originally have (unmodified) and the document you get as the result? there are many different comparing tools for windows, or you can just use "diff" command if you use linux/unix. Then see, what has actually happened to the page.

I have created a new login page and just copied the form portion from the original code. When I uploaded it, still wont accept users and stays on the login page.

I guess I need to try and re-write the entire web page again 'till I get it right. Or until somebody would be kind enough to share a working model.

Today I got the login page to work! huray!

I used WeBuilder to edit the pages and wholla! it worked.
I spent a good 2~3 weeks with Netscapes Composer, thinking it will do a simple web edit. All it gave me was was a big headach!

Thank you guys for all the help. "the_time" gave me a hint on using a different web editor to do the trick.

Best regards.
