Proper solution would be management VLAN and SFP that's sending errors or log entries using syslog traps to your server/router/desktop/whatever. Or SSH in via the management VLAN to SFP to check the status.
Reality is that many PON SFPs use horribly botched firmware made by some Chinese intern that's barely doing what it's designed to do, half of the options doesn't do anything and there is no VLAN support to even start with... This mess is not something Mikrotik should spend time fixing instead of original manufacturers.
If you want such feature, open the SFP, solder in UART wires and connect them to UART to USB converter. That can be plugged in Mikrotik USB port to access the SFP console.
