here is the thing:
so you have MAIN user manager
and you have nodes A, B, C
and, of course, users a1 a2 a3 b1 c1 c2
using wds bridge you bridge clients to yout MAIN so, you have bridge configurations on A B and C as result clients can access MAIN over layer 2 without problems and PPPoE is working without problems
if you remove bridge from your nodes A B and C then between nodes and MAIN server you have different Ethernet therfore you cannot access yout MAIN server from clients connecting using PPPoE
but, if you want to set up routed network then you should set up radius client on your nodes that will authenticate users that are connecting to your nodes A B and C. That way you do not need bridge and do not have overhead that comes with bridging, but then your nodes should be something more than RB133 or rb133C (rb500 should be enough for 20 -30 clients)
