I'm using two subnets in the same LAN. Subnets like 10.1.1.X and 192.168.0.X. I want one NIC serving DHCP to all. The 10.1.1.X pool works fine. Assigned one more IP to the same NIC with 192.168.0.X range and made another pool for the 192.168.0.X, but wont let me assign to same NIC. Says: Couldn't add New DHCP server - servers with such interface and relay is already enabled (7)
This is more a logic problem than a Routerboard problem. Think about it, how are you going to determine from which IP pool a computer gets it's IP from? If all the computers are on the same physical network, how would the DHCP server decide whether to give computer_x a 192.168.0.X address or a 10.1.1.X address?
I would simply create two VLANs.
Make sense?
