CCR1072 Random Reboot - ROS v.6.45.5

Mon Sep 16, 2019 11:47 pm

CCR1072-1G-8S +运行6.45.5 stable having random reboots. Thought it was hardware related, but I've replaced, one of the CCR's with a brand new unit, and power supplies and still rebooting. My next step is to downgrade to the long term release.

Logs just indicate "router was rebooted without proper shutdown by watchdog timer".

I can't point to anything in the network or hardware that is causing this, and because its happening on two different devices I'm thinking its got to be an issue with RouterOS. There are no spikes in traffic that appear on graphs, no spikes in temp / voltage / fans / etc. Two completely different CCR1072 units rebooting randomly both are edge routers to different BGP peers.

There's about 2-2.5Gbps aggregate going through these devices at peak. Pretty simple config with BGP and OSPF for IGP.. Very little firewall rules other than to protect router, and no NAT. I've sent multiple emails to mikrotik support with multiple supout.rif files, so hopefully they can shed some light as to why this is rebooting.

This is happening very sporadically, sometimes multiple times in a 24hr period, other times its good for ~24-30hrs.

I'm starting to think I have the same issue as these users...

In the last few months we added some larger MDU customers pushing aggregate inbound traffic from 1.6Gbps to 2.6Gbps across one of our BGP peers and from 1Gbps to 1.6Gbps across the other. This increase in traffic seems to correlate with the increase in frequency of the reboots.
