Re: Wireless Bridge

I guess that you'll get similar errors because bridging a wireless interface used as a station is kinda non-standard. You might be better off using dst-nat.

Re: RouterBOOT booter - is it part of x86 version of ROS?

No, on x86 BIOS loads ROS. On embeded platforms (like RouterBoard) there's no such thing as BIOS - they use specialized bootloaders (e.g. Das U-Boot or RouterBOOT).
Thanks man:)

RouterBOOT booter - is it part of x86 version of ROS?

Hi,

is the RouterBOOT booter present in the x86 version of RouterOS or is it a part of RouterBOARD devices only?

Hi, I'm thinking about getting the MTCNA certificate. The outline says I must have "a good understanding of TCP/IP and subnetting". My question is if the stuff about TCP/IP and subnetting in books like https://books.google.com/books?id=KuMnnQEACAAJ (CompTIA Network+ by Michael Meyers) or h...

Re: IPTV multicast question - "switch mode" for 2 ports

I'm guessing here, but I'd say it is possible. I assume both hEX and hEX lite have a switch chip for ethers2-5, so you could set let's say ether4 and ether5 as a switch. plug your internet connection to ether5, iptv box to ether4, assign an IP address to the master-port of the switch (manually, dhcp...

Hi, maybe you could try this:
vlan.PNG
You could bond sfp 3&4, 5&6.
Create a bridge and add those bonded interfaces to the bridge.
Create two VLAN interfaces on the bridge.
Assign IP adresses to the VLAN interfaces.

I can't test this config but maybe it will help you. =)

Try this
Code:Select all
ip route add gateway=192.168.2.2 ip firewall nat add chain=srcnat action=masquerade out-interface=ETH1
The first line adds a default gateway.
The second line creates NAT.

If you paste the code in WinBox terminal window, you'll have to right click and choose "Paste".
