Re: v6.49 - firmware bricking routers.

hi, Don't post often but a HEADS up for Mikrotik here. We have had a collection of RB750 / RB951 based routers brick after upgrading to 6.49 Ros and Firmware. I came here looking for this. I recently pulled an RB750 out of storage to use temporarily. I updated the OS but not the firmware and it see...

Re: RouterBoard as Barcode scanner

A Raspberry Pi would probably be much more suited to the task. It should be pretty straight forward to whip up a python script to read the data from your actual barcode scanner and send it to SQL then flash some LEDs to show it worked

Re: Mikrotik and Zabbix SNMP based on interface name

The Zabbix default "Template SNMP Device" does just that, looking up interface names from the ifDescr table so you don't need to worry about the SNMP indexes. It also automatically discovers all of your interfaces and monitors them.

Re: IPsec Performance

I was just able to get 12Mbps down through my RB750GL using iperf between a Linux server here and VPS. Uploads/encryption topped out at 4.95Mbps because that's where the cable modem tops out. Re: Metarouter images

Do you have access to contents of this site? Can you download it all and put it into archive?
Done:
http://openwrt.glowingmonkey.org/trunk/
It's junk a simple wget --mirror job, and the main index page still points to openwrt.wk.cz, but the lower links should work.

Re: MetaROUTER stability issues on certain MIPSBE and PPC bo

Looking good on RB750GL running some openwrt image running unbound, openconnect, and quagga to do DNSSEC validation and OSPF routing for my Cisco work VPN. I haven't noticed any stalling or reboots and quagga doesnt seem to be crashing and generating gibberish OSPF information like it had been. [adm...

Re: Metarouter images

Anyone knows what happened to site http://openwrt.wk.cz/trunk ? Now, we have stable MetaROUTER but this site has disappeared! I downloaded OpenWRT r31411 some time ago from that link and it is working fine now but it's useless if I cannot get packages . Seems to only resolve via ipv6 now, no ipv4 a...
