Re: OSPF and BGP Issues

Did anyone find a fix to this issue? We are having the same problem with OSPF neighbors dropping approximately every 12 hours which then causes our BGP peer hold timer to expire and then shortly the OSPF neighbors and BGP peer come back up. This is occurring on a CCR1072-1G-8S+ with version 6.45.8. ...

GPON SFP VS GEPON SFP Compatibility? FTTH Network

Will a GPON SFP work with a GEPON Network? I know Mikrotik sells GPON SFP's but I wasn't sure if they were downward compatible with GEPON Fiber to the Home (FTTH) OLT's?

Has anyone used GPON SFP's with GEPON OLT's?

Also, can a Mikrotik Router be used as a GPON OLT?

Re: New Windows Version of TheDude? Is this in the works?

Can you migrate configuration from the Windows Version to the RouterOS version? We have hundreds of devices and links managed and I would hate to have to reconfigure all of these manually in the RouterOS version.

New Windows Version of TheDude? Is this in the works?

Will there be a new version of TheDude Software to run entirely on the Windows Platform, or will it be only available for the RouterOS platform going forward? If only for RouterOS, is there a way to import our current Windows Configuration for devices, links, etc. into the RouterOS Version? Even the...

Re: CCR1009 turning Routed Ports into Switch Ports

A couple other quick questions: 1. If I set ports 1-3 to use port 4 as the master switch port can I physically use port 4 for a 4th AP or do I need to leave it unplugged? 2. For routing to the rest of the Mikrotik ports from the switch ports do I assign the IP Address for the switch port segment to ...

Re: CCR1009 turning Routed Ports into Switch Ports

Nice, I did not know any ports had a hardware switch chip. I'm assuming it would be possible to software switch the other ports, but ports 1-4 would be preferred because they would be hardware switched. Also is there any performance disadvantage to using ports 1-4 as routed ports since they have a s...

CCR1009 turning Routed Ports into Switch Ports

I have a CCR1009 that we are using for a concentrator/DHCP Server/Router to connect several Access Points to our backbone via a SFP fiber uplink on the CCR1009 going to another Mikrotik Router. My question is rather than connect an external switch to one of the 10/100/1000 routed ports on the CCR ca...

Well, not too much longer until MUM, so hopefully we will have some news soon.

Do any 3rd parties currently make any 10 GbE RouterOS boxes, or has anyone here built their own?

10 GbE Multiport (more than 2) Mikrotik RouterOS router?

Does anyone have any recommendations or have any info on any upcoming products that will support more that 2 SFP+ 10 GbE ports. I know the latest CCR will support 2 SFP+ ports, but I really would like to see a platform with at least 4 SFP+ ports, or even some copper 10 GbE ports. Is there such a dev...

I noticed that it appears that you can't change the OSPF interface type (it does not have an option to change in Winbox anyway). I have found it really strange that Mikrotik Routerboards (and 3rd party Mikrotik OS devices) use 1.25 Gbit SFP's and other manufacturers such as Cisco use 1 Gibt SFP's. This makes us have to either use 2 Mikrotik Devices on a fiber link or 2 Cisco Devices on a Fiber link or use media converters bet...

No firewalls blocking the traffic, I just checked the Mikrotik's and they don't have any firewall statements enabled and since this is only affecting 1 external route it would have to be a specific statement directly related to the /27 which is not setup.
