Re: x86 5.5 and 5.7 ssh key problem

Same issue here, 25% of the MT433AH i have upgraded to 5.7 are now not allowing ssh to connect.

These units are in the field and cannot be access via net install.

Please advice on a fix, i could try to force a downgrade to 4.17 and then 5.7 again.

Re: spectral-scan

Mikrotik,

Is there anyway to decode the output, or is it broken as of v5.5?

We are automating a few tests for our connections and this is one we would like to have working with our software.

Hey Guys, Testing v5.5. Have anyone cracked the code used by Mikrotik when saving spectral-scan results to a file? Hex editor, could make sense, but without help on the syntax does not make much sense. Plain reading of the file produces the following (this is just a sample): ËM2 ˆ ˆ ˆ ˆ 2 Ò þ 0À ...

Hey All, I have attached a stub area to our backbone. Neighbors are up and running and the default route is being flooded into the stub from the ABR's. The problem is that I do not see the connected and static routes from the routers in the stub appear in area 0. What do i have to do in order for th...

Re: OSPF Stub area on broadcast Network

note to one self, keep track of MTU sizes across the network. It seems that the MTU of the VLAN connecting to the Edge / Backbone was mismatched 9500 vs. 9200 with a switch in the middle doing 9198. Made everything 9198 and issue is gone. Guess the router fits as many LSA's into a single frame as po...

Hey All, Building our first stub areas. Here is the issue: I have defined 2 areas on my ABR, Backbone and Border. Backbone is working just fine but the Border area is behaving oddly. Re: refresh time and k factor for MPLS

Thank you. We were hoping for sub second reroute, we await FRR's arrival.

If i may make a suggestion, it is a pain to configure strict LSP's using the command line, maybe you would consider making MPLS TE part of winbox.

We are forwarding all traffic onto TE tunnels. the issue we are having is that we have redundant routers at every edge on the network, running VRRP for gateway protection. We build tunnels from the BGP edge (also redundant) to each edge device that is 2 x 2 = 4 tunnels in each direction. Now we setu...

Sacrificed our firewall and disabled the connection tracking. This dropped the load to 60% @ about 840Mbit/s. Should this be necessary? is the routing performance based on no tracking? And as i understand it firewall will not work once Conn. Track is disabled, is this correct? Regards, Martin Madsen...

Re: Loadbalancing 2 isp and Class C subnet with real ips

The short answer is that what you are attempting is not possible. Downstream traffic is routed to the ISP announcing your /24 (c-class), in this case your 5 Mbit/s provider. If you want the downstream to come over a different link (the 40Mbit/s) you will need to get your own ASN and BGP support from...

RB1000 100% CPU at relatively low forwarding load

Hey All, We are having issues with the forwarding capacity of the RB1000. I was under the impression that that model would push roughly 1.0GBit/s @ 64byte/packet. We just had a link in a ring fail and as a consequence we doubled the traffic going through a single RB1000. The router shows 100% and ad...

We have a few N links out there.
