Re: Failing to open a port

Why did you specified in-interface as bridge ? You should specified your WAN interface.

Also there could be a problem with an ISP blocking your desired port.

Your biggest practical problems are going to be keeping crud out of all those vent holes and keeping things from jamming into the RJ45 pins to the point that they get mangled

Re: RB260GSP but 802.3af/at version

Sometimes you don't need the power of ROS, and in this use case simple unmanaged switch is enough. Sometimes you need cheaper and reliable solution, for eg RB260GSP but 48V output:wink:

At 50-60 euros RB260GSP would be great and more trustworthy PoE switch. Only if there is 48V version.

Under wireless tables you have option "Scan". Here you can select desired interface, click start and when you see AP to which you want to connect select it and click "Connect", I think that's what are you looking for.

Yea, that's an option but, at about 100-110 euros plus power brick which is about 15-20 euros more that's too expensive to justify...

Also, here I have additional configuration because it's running ROS...

With 50-60 euros price tag i could justify to use Mikrotik.

Oh, I'm sure that'll work, but the starting post in this thread mentions ROS 7.11 as a requirement, and that is no longer accurate.
That should be changed now because Mikrotik stated that BTH won't be available in ROS 7.11 but can be used from 7.12beta and up.

Re: SA Query Timeout (another topic)

I tried on my ax2 and I can't reproduce the error... One more advice, this is what helped me when I had problems with older versions of ROS, try to put only WPA3.

I created SSID that had only WPA3 enabled and I didn't had any problems then. Problem was only when WPA2/3 was used.

Never leave frequency set to auto... You should set frequency manually. You know what channels you want to use, just set that channel frequency and that's it. Also i can see that you set skip dfs channels, i think CH50 and 138 fall under DFS range. So in this case your AP have no other choice other ...

Well I can't recommend it as normal USB3 (non-PD) port can only supply about 900 mA of current per USB specification so in case there is some heavy load on the router it will most certainly overload USB port.

But I had light load, no big data transfers, VPN's enabled or anything like that.

Re: Guest Wifi with cAPsMAN on Switch that has no Wifi

Your CRS act as an CAPsMAN controller and you can add virtual wireless interface under master interface you want. For example, you have 3 cAP ac, so each one have 2 master interfaces, 2.4 and 5 GHz radio and as you have 3 of them you should have 6 wireless interfaces in Wireless menu on your control...

When you do netinstall, do you add only routeros package or do you add wifiwave2 package as well ?

I noticed several times that if i add anything else beside routeros package i don't get default configuration...

So i do netinstall with routeros package only and then i add other packages later.

据我所知,如果你违约configurati加载on and left PC connected to ether1 then you shouldn't be able to connect to router as ether1 is by default WAN port and firewall rules blocks any attempt to connect.
