Re: GPEN21 Eth2 to SFP Communication not working

We ended up still using 360 of these to run a large FTTH deployment. Instead of using a cap AC poe-powered, we ended up using an external router and a barrel power cord splitter. Still looking to get this working. Since you can simultaneously communicate between the external RJ and both the SFP and ...

Re: Dude connects to ROS devices every minute and then disconnects

This should be easy to replicate. I have a CHR running Dude on Hyper-V and it reconnects enough that it crashed winbox server on one of my ccr1036 out in the field. Had to reboot it through SSH.

Re: PON EPON GEPON GPON CWDM Fiber Passive Optical Network Mikrotik

我们开始使用active-e ftth因为mutiple cabling vendors are making larger count pre-terminated cable assemblies than previous. We just finished a Corning FlexNAP project that terminated into a 432 LCP. The CRS328 fiber switch is pretty light on port density (48 port would be nice), but ...

Yes. I confirmed with a support case that it ins't the intended design and isn't a support operation. They may add support in SWos in a future release.

GPEN21 Eth2 to SFP Communication not working

Just received my first test set of GPEN21! So excited, then so disappointed. I'm trying to terminate ActiveE FTTH into apartments and power access points with PoE using the same device. GPEN21 fits the usage case precisely. However, during testing, we are finding that no communication is possible be...

Re: MikroTik Newsletter June 2020 (#96)

I would like to ask about gpen21. Does the communication between ether2 and SFP work? I can't get it up and running. Between ether1 and ether2 it's OK. It's also OK between SFP and ether1, but when I want to communicate directly between ether2 and sfp it doesn't work. I face the same issue while te...

CCR1036 large configuration file causes reboot nightmares

Hello, We routinely use CCR-1036 for residential gateways, and they contain 300+ VLANs either attached to a SFP+ port or a bridge containing one or more ports. Each VLAN has an IP and a separate simple Queue (for billing management). This configuration file is quite large, so boot/reboots take a whi...

Multicast IPTV Capacity

美好的一天,一切!在一个潜在的项目在哪儿e we would use FTTH from the CRS328-4C-20S-4S+RM and hap AC units as CPE. The customer is looking to deploy a bulk IPTV solution that uses individual multicast groups to deliver each of 130 channels. The average stream is reported by the IPTV provide...

Re: CAPSMAN V2 - timeout manipulation possible?

+1 on being able to manipulate the timeout. I have a couple of large CAPsMAN sites, and they go crazy even on a STP event.

Re: CAPsMAN mass update bricked a couple devices![SOLVED]

Thanks for the correction. Yes, I was pushing a RouterOS update. I'm scheduling the units to be replaced so that we can Netinstall them on the bench instead of fumbling with them in the field.

CAPsMAN mass update bricked a couple devices![SOLVED]

General Warning, because I should have known better! We updated firmware on a large apartment complex running 400 CAPs, using the CAPsMAN "require same version" setting to drive the update. It was a nightmare since CAPsMAN only configs units booting sequentially and single threaded, but it...

Update: We replaced the radio on the suspect side (leaving the dish in place) and haven't had any further drops. It looks like it was faulty hardware.

Re: 60gHz link with 5gHz failover + Scotch Whisky

If you don't care about a 5 second failover time, the simplest would be a rapid spanning tree failover. If you are using routerboards on both sides, you can place both radio ports and a LAN port into a bridge. Under the bridge/port menu, increase the path cost on the 5GHz link on both ends. After co...

RBLHGG-60ad Link Down[SOLVED]

We have a single Wireless Wire Dish set installed for 8 months without issue, starting to go on the fritz. It started with the link bouncing in/out 1-2 times daily in clear weather, to 4-5 times, and now, it's completely out. Occasionally it will link, showing the normal RSSI and Phy rate, along wit...
