Interesting read. In the Regions section it states that USA has channels 1 through 6 available. However, if you select USA you can still only "see" the usual 4 channels. This is of interest to us (in the UK) since we are now allowed to use the same expanded spectrum as they are in the USA.

It should not, at least in theory, affect the performance of the network either way. If there is no routing going on between the Mikrotik and the customers, then communication is essentially via the MAC addresses using arp lists in the various devices.

You will need Superchannel on the Mikrotik. That gives you access to all the channels supported by the radio card.

As for the eirp requirements, that will always be down to you rather than the Mikrotik unit.

A /28 gives you an address range of 16, hence why you are getting a network of 0 and a broadcast of 15. The range of 4 to 15 is not a valid single subnet. You could make it up with two subnets( 4 to 7 and 8 to 15) but clearly this would double up on network and broadcasts.

Basically, it sets up an ethernet tunnel over an IP network such that the networks connected at each end of the tunnel become as one (ie as if they were connected with a cable between two network switches).

To see how to set one up, look in the documentation as it is explained pretty well.
