Re: new hardware Wireless Wire nRAY 60 ghz

@mistry7 It's possible, though have to admit I've never known Mikrotik do something like that before. More likely, I would have thought, is that either (a) it is a simple mistake on the wiki, or (b) they bought a job lot of 4 channel chips and need to get rid of those first, or (c) they have yet to ...

Re: new hardware Wireless Wire nRAY 60 ghz

Interesting read. In the Regions section it states that USA has channels 1 through 6 available. However, if you select USA you can still only "see" the usual 4 channels. This is of interest to us (in the UK) since we are now allowed to use the same expanded spectrum as they are in the USA.

Have to admit, I wish there was a facility in winbox to (temporarily) turn off beam steering on the nRay units. It is a bit frustrating aligning the unit and have beam steering messing around at the same time. With 70/80 GHz links, we can, and do, align them without any use of scopes - even over dis...

Hi, Apologies if this has been asked before. I did a search but could not find anything. When we have multiple (ethernet) interaces on a bridge the traffic seems to get "mirrored" to all interfaces and not just be sent to the correct one. The behaviour of the "bridge" thus seems ...

Version 6.x seems to have major reliability issues when used in a wireless network. With 20Mz channels, there are four available frequencies that are used by 5.8GHz kit: 5735, 5755, 5775, 5835.

"contact support to solve a case like this" I did. One month ago - no response. Unless, of course, you count the autmaton one asking for the supout file. "we can not permanently modify the list, as it is correct according to ETSI, plus we have no idea what special conditions there are...

As far as I know there are no geographic restrictions any more. Even if there were, we could easily mask those out if need be. Having to sort out a special licence upgrade for every unit we deploy is silly. Other suppliers of 5.8 kit don't seem to have a problem giving a special domain, so I really ...

Now, when you say "problem sorted" what do you mean? Do they then give you another UK domain to select with the correct channels available on it?

5GHz band and the UK

I am trying to set up a test link in my office using an RB512 as a 5GHz access point. All is fine when I use frequencies from the Band B range. However, Band B is not legal in the UK for wisps, only Band C (5735 to 5835). Setting the UK as the regulatory domain only shows Band B channels, which in m...

I've just had ospf apparantly die on me too. At the moment I only have two routers talking with ospf one running 2.9beta16 and the other 2.9rc5. It is the former one that seemed to "lock up". I was having a good dig around for quite a while and it suddenly seemed to come back again on its ...

To get a true 2Mbps connection from two 1Mbps feeds you will need to be able to "bond" the lines at both ends. Thus, you will need support from your ISP to achieve the bonding at their end.

Thanks, that sorted it.

I dug out a different cable and it worked first time.8)

Wonder what it is that allows the RB230 to work but not the RB512 etc?

In a way I'm glad to hear it is not just me!

By the way, I managed to get access to the RB512 using the mac address and winbox (hadn't realised I could do this!).

I wish :( It was the first thing I tried (well, second thing) I had a look at the settings via winbox and they seem fine, though the baud rate seems to be defaulted to auto and not 115200. Have tried to force it to 115200. 9600, 19200 and even 110 via winbox but still cannot connect via the serial p...

Serial port access with RB500

Basically, what is the secret???

I can easily get into an RB200 via the serial port but have yet to manage it in any of my RB500 units.

Basically, it sets up an ethernet tunnel over an IP network such that the networks connected at each end of the tunnel become as one (ie as if they were connected with a cable between two network switches).

To see how to set one up, look in the documentation as it is explained pretty well.

ios版雷竞技官网入口Routerboard pps吗?

Does anyone know what the packet per second capability of a routerboard is? I'm interested in both the 200 and the new 500 series.
