Re: CRS326-24G-2S+RM with 2.5GBit sfp+ possible?

There are a few different articles on STH which test 2.5Gbps compatibility with SFP+ modules... (although they focus on module speed, rather than module in specific switch compatibility... but it's a starting point...) https://www.servethehome.com/sfp-to-10gbase-t-adapter-module-buyers-guide/ https:...

Re: Issues with setting up a InterVlan filtering firewall rules[SOLVED]

There are different schools of thought in terms of "allow everything + block specific", vs "block everything and allow specific" However, it can sometimes be better to explicitly allow specific traffic, so that later on, if extra interfaces are livened up, extra VLANs added, ther...

Hardware or Software?

I daren't ask whether tech support issues for this product should be posted in the hardware or software part of the forum....

Re: v7.4 [stable] is released!

Just upgraded my RB5009: Under 7.3.1 it was not able to pick up a DHCP address from a UK Virgin Media HUB4 (in modem mode), so had to revert to 7.2.3. This applied whether I was used a bonded pair of interfaces (balance-rr) or a single interface. Mikrotik support advised me it had been fixed in one ...

Re: v7.3 [stable] is released!

Upgraded multiple devices inc CCR1009 / CRS317 / RB4011 / RB3011 / wAP AC all OK. However, I encountered an issue when upgrading my RB5009 from 7.2.3 to 7.3: it has a bonded WAN interface (Ether 2 and 3) connected to a Virgin Media HUB 4 (in modem mode). The bonded WAN interface is configured as a D...

Re: v7.1.1 is released!

我明白了。安装7.1.1可在“测试”频道来回m v6 as well. So I get what russelld is talking about, but to be fair, when you update to "testing" channel, you still agree to install other "testing" versions as well, which 7.2rc2 is. I may have upgraded one of the d...

Re: v7.1.1 is released!

So far I've upgraded the CCR1009-7G, CCR1009-8G and a hEX S all in my lab - all OK. However, I would make the observation that after the upgrade to 7.1, my devices were still set to the "testing" channel, so when I hit "Download and Install" they initially started downloading 7.2...

Re: MikroTik RB5009UG+S+IN

I just hope that there is a version with 2 * SFP+ ports in the "series" (three would be even better)... the underlying chipset supports it... https://www.marvell.com/content/dam/marvell/en/public-collateral/switching/marvell-switching-link-street-88e6393x-product-brief-2019-01.pdf It would...

Re: R11e-LTE6 2CA not staying connected[SOLVED]

I'm still having issues even on v27 cell card firmware I had significant issues after upgrading to V27 of the LTE6 modem firmware - making my device pretty much unusable. (That was even with a single channel, it became even more unreliable after negotiating a 2CA connection) After contacting suppor...

Re: After firmware upgrade LHGG LTE6 doesn't work

I had the exact same issues after upgrading to firmware v027.

Support provided me with firmware v028 which fixed the issues and reverted to pre v027 levels of reliability.

Hopefully that updated firmware will be released for OTA upgrade to all LTE6 modems...

Re: LHGG LTE6工具包互联网下降和那慢n with a cheap 4G router

This instability could well be due to firmware v027. The reliability, speed and signal quality all dropped after I upgraded to v027, eventually resulting in the locking up of the LTE modem requiring a full restart of my wAP R LTE6. Support provided me with firmware v028 which fixed the problems and ...

Re: Tapatalk support lost?

I did raise a ticket and the response I received was that the Tapatalk plug-in was problematic.

They said they may revisit it in the future, but just advised me to use the mobile-optimised web interface, which is what I have been doing.

Tapatalk support lost?

Hi-- I know that after previous upgrades to the forum software, it has taken a few days for Tapatalk integration to be re-enabled. As of last week, I seem to have lost Tapatalk access to this forum, so I assume some kind of change was made? Judging from the number of forum posters which have 'Tapata...

Re: Transfer DNS A record *sn.mynetname

The advice in the previous post about using DNS CNAME records is the best way to move forward with a point of reference which you can control independently of any IP cloud entry tied as a specific piece of Mikrotik hardware. However... as you state your current Mikrotik is "dying" rather t...

Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences with the RBGESP. Unfortunately, I've now experienced the same issue. Two of these mounted externally, connected to a wAP ac LTE6 device. Lost signal on one cable... it was constantly trying to auto-negotiate at 10Mbps then 100Mbps but completely unstable....
