CRS518: high CPU for each additional port running (since ROS 7.9)

We found that in CRS518-16XS-2XQ, for every port with a module inserted, even with NO traffic flowing, there is an addition 5-7% of CPU usage! It's not a problem with a specific board: we verified this behaviour with three different CRS518 boards. It's NOT a problem of configuration: we loaded ROS 7...

Re: CRS354-48P-4S+2Q+ traffic problem on ports 1 to 8

The discussed CRS354 Ethernet interface forwarding issue is related to CRS354 chip configuration and solving it involves internal parameter tuning of the device. By cooperating with the chip manufacturer, we are researching it and doing more extensive testing to properly fix this problem. At the mo...

How to get both "local-proxy-arp" and "reply-only" ARP setting?

We have a bridge with many VLAN "tunnel" interfaces, all with the same "Horizon", so they don't share the same broadcast domain. But as we need to allow them to communicate with each other, we have set the bridge ARP setting to "local-proxy-arp". Now, in the same bridge...

Bug in export?

The 'export' manual says: The command can be invoked at any menu level, and it acts for that menu level and all menu levels below it. But it seems that it doesn't works for ' /interface ethernet switch port-isolation': [root@OF Cusmano: Main] /interface ethernet switch> export # mar/24/2019 10:46:56...

Re: wAP-LTE and automotive connector

Any news about usage of the aux port?
We would really like to use it to command a relay.
Thanks.

point-to-point property of bridge ports

I'd like to know what the "point-to-point" property of bridge ports does.

What does it change if I manually force it to "point-to-point=yes"?

Maybe only a single MAC address is allowed in the bridge forwarding table for that port?
Can someone elaborate?

Thanks.

Massive src-address filtering per C-VLAN

I have to setup a switch that will handle hundreds (possibly one thousand) of C-VLANs inside a couple of S-VLANs. For each C-VLAN I have to set a filter rule to drop frames that don't have the correct SRC IP Address for that C-VLAN. The problem here is that if there are one thousand of C-VLANs then ...

How to dump a very large connections table?

I have a CCR1072 with about 200.000/300.000 connections. I'd like to periodically export the connections table to do some statistical analysis looking for "strange" traffic, but I wasn't able to get that table. First I tried with the API command '/ip/firewall/connection/print' (even filter...
